Lessons/tips

if you really get into the ice skating "sport" and start taking lessons, here are some tips to help you understand more:
  1. Always listen to the teacher / instructor if you're taking group lessons and have a friend in the group, save all the talking for off the ice.
  2. If you don't understand something, ask the teacher, don't be afraid to speak up. that's the only way you will understand it better.
  3. If you absolutely can't do something, don't say "I can't do it, i'm not good enough" because you can, think of it as if the word "cant" isn't in your vocabulary. you may not be able to do it right then, but if you work at it, eventually you will be able to do it faster than you can say "Peanut-butter and jelly" I promise!
  4. if you're in a competition, and you don't have an outfit, song, or routine, don't worry everything will work out the way it is supposed to. you may not like it, but everything happens for a reason! - Belive me, I know what it's like 3 days before the competition without an outfit, routine or music!
